With the construction of a new Emergency Department, there was a need to upgrade and replace the existing emergency power equipment. The installation of multiple automatic transfer switches and a load bank at Methodist Health Union County Hospital allowed them to ensure their emergency power system is prepared to meet their power needs.
Solution Provided:
We were proud to work with our manufacturing partner, ASCO Power Technologies, Inc., and our generator partner, Evapar, on this bid-spec project. The project involved the installation of an ASCO / Avtron permanent load bank and multiple ASCO 7000 Series open transition transfer switches throughout the facility, including two bypass isolation for their most critical loads that cannot go down for routine maintenance, and 3 standard switches. Upon installation, we trained the hospital maintenance staff on using the transfer switches in the case of an emergency.
